Thermal spraying in Europe has seen many developments in the field of quality assurance and staff training. The Quality Management system established by GTS, the Association of Thermal Sprayers, was the forerunner.
The sophisticated and transparent quality assurance network with traceable and comprehensible implementation procedures for thermal spraying is unique in this sector. With its quality specifications for thermal spray processes, personnel and products, GTS certification goes far beyond the requirements of DIN EN ISO.
This paper will provide an overview of GTS certification, quality assurance, services and the promotion of thermal spray technology by GTS.
