 Abstract:
NiCoCrAlY/ZrO2-8Y2O3 coatings layers deposited on SUS304 stainless steels and carbon steels substrate with different expansion coefficient were prepared by APS at different preheat temperature for substrate and thermal cyclic at 1000 were also tested. ZrO2-8Y2O3 top coatings layers with thickness of 0.5mm spalted from NiCoCrAlY bond coat after plasma sprayed and subsequently cooling down below 75 when preheat temperature exceed 750 for SUS 304 substrate. Thermal cyclic lifetime of TBC depends very much on the substrate expansion and microstructure and thickness of ZrO2-8Y2O3 coatings layers.
