I have wanted to be an underwater welder since I was about 10 years old. I had no idea what that really looked like. I only knew I wanted to build underwater houses. Because, how cool is that!?
Around that age my dad laid the groundwork for my future carrier as a welder and commercial diver when he brought home a welder to work on a couple home projects.
