Abstract:	The access to nuclear fusion is a big challenge and a big chance for the humans. The experimental reactor ITER marks the next step on the development of this technology and is under construction in France as an international facility. EB- welding was figured out to build big structures in tight tolerances. The paper will report about the application of EB-technology in this project.
